Godfather Part II

Surfergirlbj1

I never tire of this film, I watched it for at least the 20th time recently. Al Pacino as Michael is so wonderfully chilling. One of the best acting moments is when it dawns on him that Fredo has betrayed him, the acting is so subtle it's superb. The young De Niro is also fantastic, and so smooth -
although one has to keep putting the image of an older De Niro out of mind!

I agree this trillogy is probably my favourate set of feature films and never trier of watching each scene unfold. The scene in the Senate inquiry is very gripping and does show how corrupt the political administration in the US. Great choice of films BJ and would be interested what other feature films are on your list.

Believe it or not, I have not seen any of them. But I am about to.

Yes I've been meaning to get the trilogy (not that the 3rd one counts for much) on DVD for ages as well, just to quel those sudden "must watch Godfather movie" urges. It seems to be a frequent wish list item.

There's a book out now which explains what happened in the "missing"years in between the films. It's not written by Mario Puzio obviously, because he's dead, but apparently it's worth the read. I read another book by Mario Puzio about the Borgia pope and family, it was hair-raising and sickening to say the least, well I thought so anyhow.

I missed seeing it the other night, I had a head cold and wasn't up to watching something that needed more than a few brain cells. So I settled for Arnie instead.

hmm Arnie, well yes, but give the guy a break, he's Austrian and has to learn lines outside of his mother tongue, lol.
