Emily Williams unlikely to get recording contract with Sony BMG

Word on the street is that it definitely looks unlikely that Emily Snipes will get a recording contract with Sony BMG.
This is supposedly largely due to her similarity to their other signed artists, in particular Paulini. Then again it could be an aversion by Sony to the nails on blackboard sound.
Could be bucking the trend of having a successful Idol runner up as recording artist. I would imagine an independent of some sort should pick her up though.

Of course she'll get a contract! She's proven herself worthy of one over the course of the latest series! Sony BMG are in a state of, well, my room is more organized than them at the moment! :P

Haha well it was going to be an extremely "original" post re the Ford Holden wars, but without the picture lost most of its impact *rollseyees*. So will have to save it for another day :p

That may be a good point Asbro.
I wonder if Sony have made a conscious decision, or have been pressured, to not let the runner up this year steal all the show this year, in order to keep the Idol "dream" alive.

I'd go with the dream theory... like they care about paulini! - she isnt exactly a priority artist, though with sony bmg atm, to be priority you have to be international!
